Kelly Melvin is the owner of the Ponsonby hair salon who emigrated to NZ when she was just 22. Although originally from the UK, she now definitely calls New Zealand her home.
Kelly developed a keen interest in hair from a very young age, she loved creating styles and making women feel good about themselves. She spends time with her clients finding out about their hair routine, assessing the health of their hair, what look they are trying to achieve and then gives them the tools to recreate it, no other stylists does this as well as Kelly and her clients love her for it. She specialises in gorgeous blonde looks, balayage, concealing grey roots, hair transformations and treatments, haircuts and she’s a curly hair specialist.

Kelly’s philosophy is that hair needs to be in a fit condition and she helps her clients get their hair healthy and in a fit condition, along with teaching them the right techniques, products to use and secrets to looking after their hair in-between visits.
Kelly was always going to be great at hair being the top student in training winning apprentice of year twice once in her first year and last year of training.
Most importantly Kelly sees her business more than a business, she sees it as her extended family where lifelong relationships with people, body and hair fitness live together in harmony.
